Metagame 2.0 - Round 2
With the Iconoclasts facing yet more time with its sword arm tied, and the blood of another Senator staining the floor, one could argue a dark cloud was looming over the Order's as a whole. Despite this there were some military successes, and an interesting case of "mistaken" identity.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aeturnas Trinitas
Legatus Andilien does not waver from his goals and this is no more apparent than the continued fortification of the Dalgoth along with other specific modifications to the warship. The Order's guards seemed to have fortified their position on the Tournament grounds, joining their number with the Argent Crusade. A small number of mercenaries and scouts wearing the mark of the Tiresians could also be seen in the mix. The sudden rallying of forces has many wondering if the Legatus plans to advance towards Icecrown.
Many bearing the mark of Aeturnas Trinitas were also seen among the Eternal Guard's men in the Dragonblight. With the Knight's aid, the druids were able to not only complete their conquests but repel Serro's forces.
Knighthood of the Iconoclasts
The Order of Death Knight's once again found themselves unable to move across Northrend due to missing paperwork. While the current Lictor Caldrik may have preferred to use this time to do something useful, he had nothing but headaches from the visiting shaman Eregdush who proceeded to trounce Knight after Knight in duels outside the Fort's gates. Just when one thought his patience could take no more, word reached the Lictor's ears of an attempted raid against his men by the Eternal Guard. Whats worse, is the attackers were none other than the Nightstalker Shadon and her men that were lent to the druids as aid. Perhaps the only success that could be claimed were a number of conjured goods and sentries that arrived at Ravenholdt and the Syndicate's doorstep.
The Tiresian Order
It seems a dark cloud of misfortune has hung over the Tiresien towers these past weeks, as they have been the target of a few ill incidents. The first was discovered by Dean Blayke who, upon performing his daily counts of the treasury, noted that a substantial sum had gone missing. Later in the week, one of the Magister’s contacts within the Silvermoon Senate was apparently murdered in his sleep. The recent wave of murders against the Senate these weeks leave many seeking justice against the party, or parties, responsible. However, reports have it that Lictor Lyear, while obviously troubled by recent events, has seemed to respond as though he already knew of them, and his meeting with the Silvermoon Senate was scheduled before the messenger even arrived.
In other news, constructs bearing the colors of the Magister’s cabal have been seen patrolling Dalaran. Additionally, two squads of Silvermoon trackers were contracted by the order, with the bulk of one of them, mixed with some of the magister’s own scouts, sent to assist Lictor Ulian. Finally, a group of scholars were seen in Grizzlemaw, continuing to assist in Lictor Mogaris efforts at deciphering former Lictor Deathgore’s scrolls.
The Eternal Guard
It would be fair to say the Warden has been fairly busy these past weeks.
Despite further interference with their work, the Eternal Guard forces in Dragonblight, aided by Aeturnas Trinitas, completed their conquests of Azjol'Nerub and An'kahet after breaking an attempted blockade and attempted assault by Serro's forces. Fort Rynath was visited by the Guard's Captain Eregdush, who made a point to take on and defeat several of the Iconoclasts in duels while thumbing his nose at Caldrik in general. The motivation behind this visit is unknown.
By order of the Imperator, the Iconoclasts were to give aid to the Eternal Guard. Caldrik chose to send Nightstalker Shadon to satisfy the request. The huntress surely had to be surprised, however, to find that the raid her detachment had been directed on resulted in an extremely short clash with other Iconoclast forces! The Warden has yet make any comments on the matter.
The Guard seems to have had its mind set on correcting the 'issue' with Steamwheedle, as a detachment of soldiers accompanied by an extremely odd assortment of treants and elementals was in force to ensure that no further 'accidents' occurred. Also in an effort to protect their funds from any further mishaps, a number of guards were seen escorting the Cenarion Circle's representative into Grizzlemaw where Tiresian researchers could still be seen working endlessly at restoring the library. A number of guards and chests were also sent to the doorsteps of the Argent Crusade and Thunder Bluff.
Aora could be seen in Icecrown this evening. As the ship made its rounds a strange man landed and approached her. After a long talk he was dismissed to private quarters and Aora went about her business.
Rumors from Undercity claim that a druid was seen questioning several trades persons and civilians near the sewer. It isnt clear what he was looking for but after his last interview he left in a hurried puff of wing and feather.
-----------
((Unopened and encrypted note sent by Tiresian courier from Dragonblight directly to Lyear's office in Dalaran))
Magister Lyear,
I'm sorry it has been some days since I have reported. I am penning this note during my first rest before moving on to follow my most recent leads.
I have heard from several witnesses that Serro was seen with the orb in the Undercity so that much of our suspected intel proves true. Witnesses also claim that a man matching Serro's description left the Undercity carrying a darkly glowing ball through a dark purplish portal and that snow could be seen on the other side. I have verified that his trail seems to vanish inside the sewer tunnels so at least part of my witnesses' statements are also true.
From there I started at Wrymrest Temple in the Dragonblight to see if I could find his snowy escape point. It took me several days of searching from the skies in a spiral pattern but I have now ruled out Dragonblight as Serro's refuge. The only thing of note was that I witnessed increased Iconoclasts movements from my ground investigation of the most hopeful spots in the area.
After this note is on its way to you and a half day rest, I will be continuing on to Stormpeaks. It will be a much harder search with the rocky terrain but I feel his trail is growing colder by the second so I will be making all possible haste. I plan to start near the Temple of Storms and I will stop by Dun Niffelem, at what would be the midpoint of my search. If you have other information or orders for me, send them to our agents there. Also if you have word of changes in the Marshal's condition, I would know them. I hope that she doesnt need this orb I search for but if it is in my power, I will find it and the man that carries it. I'll use the next cypher on our list for my next correspondence, as always.
Your loyal servant and friend,
Terreo~
After the recent attack on the capain's camp and the death of some of his men, Daxxym Bloodhawk has been ordered by both Ulian and Praefect Aora to bedrest in Silvermoon. An unknown Tauren has been mentioned as the attacker but there are no leads as to who it may be.
Last eve's Lictor meeting went as well as the Priestess expected. Per usual the Knight Sarafias failed at the most basic of tasks, perhaps specifically to ruffle the old Instructor's feathers. Regardless, the meeting was carried out despite questions about the validity of the newly appointed Commander.
The Tiresian Order seemed only somewhat concerned about the plights that struck them, though stated investigations would be underway. The Eternal Guard announced their military success in the Dragonblight overcoming what seemed an endless barrage of hurdles from the one called Serro. Caldrik of the Iconoclasts appeared frustrated, not only as having his military arm tied again but in the possible use of his own men against him. The Warden claimed it must have been a mistake, that the Iconoclast Nightstalker was following leads on the assassinated Steamwheedle goblin. The moment was tense as subtle accusations were made, but the issue was not pursued by either party.
Unfortunately for the Knights of Aeturnas Trinitas, their Legatus was absent leaving their Praefect to speak on his behalf. Of all four orders, the group of Paladins was the only one truly tied to the Crusade yet acted the most insubordinate. First by refusing to speak multiple times when given the floor, and then to try ordering the new Commander from her own office.
Papers are currently being written up to be delivered to the Lictors regarding their next assignments. Rumor also has it the Commander has a number of suggestions for the Imperator upon his return regarding the rank of a number present, including the possibility of a new Silvermoon Envoy seeing as a second Senator tied to the military order has been murdered and little to nothing has been done to calm the fires.
((Kudos to Soulein for being the only one to notice the name. smile The original level 1 was never intended to last however.... and, well, I liked the name despite it being a new character. Proper metagame gossip coming soon. Theres been confusion on all sides regarding some results so clarification is needed before making anything in addition to last night's meeting pubic))
Daxxym Bloodhawk has been released from his medical care due to an unexpected attack on his camp. Although he was seen speaking with the Praefect prior to the Lictor meeting, it is rumored he is being ordered to have a companion on his forays into Northrend.
---------------------------------------------------
In other news, a unknown Tauren was seen speaking with the Praefect late in the evening. While they were seen talking for some time, the praefect seemed rather wary of her "companion" and her felbeast had to be held at bay for quite some time. The mention of Kel'Thas loyalists was overheard quite a few times.
The Lictors of the Iconoclasts and Eternal Guard could be seen speaking briefly after the assembled meeting. While the tension between the two orders, and in particular between Mogari and Caldrik, was obvious, it appeared as they walked away that both were satisfied with the conclusion of the discussion.
Suriah was seen taking a stroll through the Bazaar with Magister Lyear before the meeting began. They seemed to be in good spirits despite previous hostile encounters. They met with Mogari and the three of them walked to the meeting together. A short time later, she was seen making her way outside the city gates with Senator Soulein Solanthanor.
